We know, from experience, that once you start using CATS, it will become a vital asset that you'll access throughout the workday (and sometimes even your off hours). The sheer amount of information we help you keep track of is extremely valuable to you and not something that you would ever want to lose.

Backup Strategies

The first line of defense is that CATS maintains a real-time backup of your data between multiple servers, commonly known as replication. This type of backup protects your data from loss caused by server or hard disk failures or physical disasters.

Any time you perform an action in CATS, you're working on servers in two different physical locations. This type of backup also protects against loss of service in the event of a network outage with one of the servers by providing a second access point.

The second line of defense is that we make regular scheduled backups of your data and your attachments. This protects against catastrophic failures, abuse by a employee, accidental deletion of data, viruses, or any other type of corruption that leads to data loss (that would be replicated to all servers).

Your data is never unsecured or made viewable to third parties, as indicated in our privacy policy. It is stored in keycard secured facilities using servers in locked cages accessible only by the CATS and site administrators. For professional customers, all information is stored and transmitted using 128-bit SSL encryption, the same security used by most online retailers.

Backups on-demand

Professional customers can create and download complete backups of their data and attachments at any time in the very open format of MySQL. The backups include schemas for table layouts, the data itself, and a folder containing each attachment, all compressed in a Zip archive.

Because we know you'll be satisfied with CATS, we don't need to play any games or make any ridiculous contracts to trick you into staying with us. Unlike most Applicant Tracking Systems, we don't encrypt, password protect or provide backups in any proprietary formats. This means that should you ever choose to leave us, it would be very easy to migrate your information to another service with minimal effort and downtime.
