Resume Parsing Improvements

By Andrew Kandels | 07/17/2009 - 12:12pm

We're proud to announce the release of a major update to our resume parsing technology. In addition to being far more accurate and detecting more information, we also happily announce that it supports Canadian, most European, Indian, Dutch and many other countries' address and phone formats.
When adding candidates to the system either from an email, a mass import orĀ  one-by-one, you should immediately notice an increase in the quality of the information that it detects. We've also started capturing additional contact information such as multiple phone numbers and middle names.
The increase in accuracy will help reduce duplicate records as our duplicate checking features can more easily find if a record already exists simply by having more information to compare.
In addition to just parsing, our US, Canadian and Dutch customers can enjoy local postcode databases which allow them to search their candidates geographically, by their distance from a source postcode. They can map their candidates through Google maps when viewing a candidate list. For Dutch customers, CATS has been completely translated and we offer a local sales & support office (www.catsone.nl). Parsing is just another layer of our growing worldwide presence that we hope to continually improve upon.
