There's no shortage of requests for LinkedIn integration. We're proud to announce that as of today, via our Firefox toolbar, you can now import LinkedIn profiles, resumes and images directly into CATS.
Capture Resumes:
If you're viewing a LinkedIn profile with a resume attached, we'll capture this document and attach it to the candidate record automatically. This resume can be used with submission, forwarded to hiring managers and can be quickly viewed with our magic preview tool – no need to open Adobe Acrobat or Microsoft Word.
Capture Photos:
While a typical resume likely won't include a photo, many LinkedIn profiles do. The toolbar will capture these pictures and neatly attach them to the new candidate profile. They'll even show up in the pop-up previews when you hover a candidate's name throughout the system.
Location Translation:
LinkedIn has a nasty habit of saving addresses in the generic “Greater New York Area” or “Lakeland, Florida Area” formats. When performing a search of filter, this becomes an annoyance and would be much more convenient if stored as “New York, NY” or “Lakeland, FL”. We've developed and will continue to extend a database of these values to automatically perform this conversion when importing profiles from LinkedIn; therefore, linking state and city properly whenever we can.
What is LinkedIn?
LinkedIn has over 47 million members in over 200 countries and territories around the world. A new member joins LinkedIn approximately every second. With executives from all Fortune 500 companies and profiles for an overwhelming number of professions, it's quickly become one of the top databases available for the sourcing of new candidates.
