Video from The Onion Takes Outsourcing Even Further

While browsing through The Onion's website, I happened upon a great HR-related video from their fake but incredibly well-done Onion News Network.

It's hilarious to take the idea of outsourcing this far, but at certain points in the video I found myself taking it more seriously than perhaps it was intended. It's both funny and sad to think of execs painting model airplanes or taking vacations while people thousands of miles away do all the work for a fraction of the pay. In any case, it's an astute satire of this part of American work culture, and (as cliched as it sounds) will make you laugh and think at the same time. I'd suggest watching it with your coworkers; a thoughtful discussion is sure to follow.
